Paank Condemns the Extrajudicial Killing of Pindok

The Paank, Human Rights Department of BNM has strongly condemned the extrajudicial killing of Pindok, son of Somar, by Pakistani security forces in Mazarabad, Mashkai, district Awaran, Balochistan. Pindok, along with Shoaib, son of Ghulam Rasool, and Ayoub, son of Dilmurad, was abducted on January 14, 2025.According to reports, Pindok was subjected to severe torture before being killed. His body was handed over to his family on January 25, while Shoaib and Ayoub were released earlier.

This incident further underscores the alarming human rights situation in Balochistan. Enforced disappearances, torture, and extrajudicial killings have become increasingly prevalent, often accompanied by deliberate internet shutdowns aimed at suppressing evidence and silencing victims.

Paank has demanded an immediate end to these human rights abuses. The organization is calling for an independent investigation into Pindok’s killing and the restoration of internet access in the region.

Furthermore, Paank urges the international community to take decisive action to hold the Pakistani authorities accountable for these grave violations and ensure justice for the Baloch people.
