Mashkay Attack: BLF Releases Video Footage Showing Dead Pakistani Soldiers

The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has released graphic video footage of a major assault carried out on February 17, 2025, in the Mashkay area of Balochistan. The footage, published by the group’s media wing “Ashob,” clearly shows the bodies of Pakistani army personnel killed in the attack.

The video opens with a BLF field commander briefing a large group of fighters, heavily armed and stationed in an undisclosed mountainous location. Following the briefing, the fighters move out toward their mission.

According to the footage, the attack began during the night as BLF fighters lay in ambush. When Pakistani soldiers arrived at their posts, they were immediately attacked. BLF reports at least one soldier was killed at that location.

Later, a larger group of soldiers is seen approaching the area, only to be struck by another deadly ambush by BLF fighters, resulting in multiple fatalities.

The video also shows a military Vigo vehicle carrying Lieutenant Kashif and other personnel advancing toward the ambush zone. The BLF fighters targeted the vehicle with heavy fire, claiming that none of the occupants survived the attack.

Another military pickup truck approaching the site also came under attack, although it reportedly managed to flee.

The footage further shows 7–8 soldiers on motorcycles who were killed after being targeted by BLF fighters. Additional motorcycle-mounted troops were also attacked in the same manner.

BLF had earlier claimed that 13 soldiers were killed and 7 wounded in the operation, but the footage reportedly shows the bodies of at least 17 to 19 soldiers, casting doubt on the official narrative.

The Pakistani military had acknowledged only two deaths and seven injuries, including Lieutenant Kashif. However, the BLF’s released video has contradicted these claims, exposing discrepancies in the army’s version of events.

BLF emphasized that whenever it claims responsibility for killing military personnel, it releases supporting video evidence. In contrast, Pakistani forces are accused of trying to suppress and downplay such incidents.
