Jeeyand Baloch, spokesperson for the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), has claimed responsibility for the killing of Nasir Karim, the leader of a so-called death squad allegedly formed by the Pakistani military and intelligence agencies, during an attack in Buleda, Kech district.
He stated that on Monday evening around sunset, BLA fighters carried out an armed assault in Alandur, targeting Nasir Karim s/o Abdul Karim while he was traveling in a vehicle with his associates. As a result of the attack, Nasir Karim was killed on the spot and one of his companions, Zubair, was seriously injured.
According to the spokesperson, Nasir Karim was leading death squads under the patronage of Zahoori Buledi. These squads were directly aiding the occupying military by setting up roadblocks, conducting armed patrols, raiding homes, abducting youth, and engaging in targeted killings. In return for these operations, the Pakistani forces allegedly allowed the group to extort money, commit robberies, and run drug trafficking businesses with impunity.
Jeeyand Baloch further said that due to his involvement in anti-Baloch actions, Nasir Karim was on BLA’s hit list, and the fighters executed him as part of their mission. He warned that all individuals associated with this network have been identified and will soon face the same fate as their leader.
In conclusion, he declared that the BLA takes full responsibility for the attack and emphasized that operations against collaborators of the occupying forces involved in atrocities against the Baloch people will continue with increased intensity.
