The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a deadly IED attack targeting a convoy of the Pakistani Army in the Margat area, a suburb of Quetta.
According to a statement released by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, freedom fighters carried out the operation using a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED). The blast reportedly destroyed a military vehicle completely, resulting in the death of all 10 personnel on board.
Among the slain were Subedar Shehzad Ameen, Naib Subedar Abbas, Sepoy Khalil, Sepoy Zahid, and Sepoy Khurram Saleem, with the BLA noting that additional identities would be confirmed later.
The BLA reiterated that it accepts full responsibility for the attack and emphasized that such operations against what it terms the “occupying enemy army” will continue with greater intensity.
