Dr. Sabiha Baloch, a leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, wrote on the social media platform X.
“We have said it before and we say it again, we are not creating problems for anyone. As a nation, we desire a free, dignified and peaceful life. But the life that the state has snatched from us seeks only to kill us. Our dignity is constantly violated. We are abducted and our bodies are dumped in desolate places. Today, Abdul Malik, a 28-year-old from Kohing, Kalat, who was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces from Turbat on October 11, 2024, was martyred in a fake encounter.”
She continued, “The issue is only one, the life the state has assigned to us is unacceptable to us.
The life designated by the state means: they keep killing us while we stay silent, abducting us while we remain silent, locking us away for life in torture cells while we stay silent, forcing us to wander helplessly for our loved ones while we stay silent, keeping us under constant fear of death and abduction while we stay silent. We do not accept this life.”
She further stated, “If the state believes the issue is Mahrang, Sabiha Baloch, Shah Jee, or Beebagr, then the state is mistaken. The problem lies with the state itself. Because as long as state terrorism, oppression and tyranny continue, whether we are here or not, someone will rise. Because someone has to rise. So the problem is not us, it’s the state. We are on the side of truth. We seek a peaceful, prosperous life, free from sorrow, oppression, death and the fear of abduction.”
