
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The protest camp set up by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan continued for the 6,364th day in front of the Quetta Press Club, led by the organization’s chairman, Nasrullah Baloch.
Advocate Shahzeb Baloch, an organizer of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Karim Parhad, a leader of the Revolutionary Communist Party and others visited the camp and expressed solidarity with the families of the forcibly disappeared.
The participants voiced concern over ongoing enforced disappearances and alleged extrajudicial killings in Balochistan. They demanded the immediate recovery of all missing persons. They said anyone facing allegations should be produced before a court and given the full right to legal defence and redress.
They also demanded an immediate end to enforced disappearances and extra-constitutional actions and called for transparent investigations into missing persons’ cases and action in accordance with the law.
