Protest Rallies Against Forced Disappearances in Quetta and Turbat on Eid Day, Families Sit-in continues in Turbat for Second Day

Protest rallies against forced disappearances were held on the first day of Eid in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan, and Turbat, the main city of Kech Distt.

In Quetta, a protest rally was held in front of the Press Club on the call of VBMP, Vice for Baloch Missing Persons, while in Turbat, a protest rally was held at Shaheed Fida Chowk and a sit-in was held at the square. Relatives of the missing persons and their children also participated in the demonstration, who carried pictures of their missing loved ones in their hands.

Every year on the occasion of Eid in Balochistan, families of forcibly disappeared persons protest on the streets to recover their loved ones.

In protest, the relatives of the forcibly disappeared persons had also brought theirs Eid clothes and shoes as usual. The protestors demanded that their loved should be brought to light.

On the second day of Eid in Turbat, the protest sit-in of the relatives of Baloch forcibly disappeared persons continues at Fida Shaheed Chowk. The families were given a false assurance two weeks earlier by the Deputy Commissioner Kech Distt, that their loved ones would be recovered within three days.

The relatives are appealing to the authorities for the recovery of their loved ones.
