
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: In Balochistan’s Noshki area, armed men abducted a councillor of the Municipal Committee, while bodies were recovered from Mastung, Chaman and Sohbatpur.
According to reports from Noshki, Municipal Committee councillor Janan Barech was abducted by armed men. Local sources say the incident occurred on Masjid Road, where unidentified individuals abducted councillor Janan Barech and took him away.
Separately, the body of an unidentified man was recovered from the Khadd Kocha area of Mastung. According to reports, the body bore bullet wounds. The man had been shot dead and his body was thrown by the roadside. The body was first shifted to Shaheed Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Hospital for necessary procedures and identification and was later transferred to Quetta for further legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, another body was recovered from the Chaman area and was shifted to a hospital for necessary procedures.
Additionally, according to local administration in Sohbatpur, three bodies were recovered and shifted to hospital, though they have not yet been identified.
It may be noted that the recovery of bodies from various districts of Balochistan continues. In recent days, several bodies were also recovered from Panjgur, some of which were identified as individuals who had been victims of enforced disappearance at the hands of Pakistani forces.
However, the identities of all five bodies recovered today from Mastung, Chaman and Sohbatpur remain unknown so far.
