QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch Women Forum has strongly condemned the enforced disappearance of Rafia Baloch, Tania Baloch and Javeria Baloch three female members of the family of Balochistan National Party (BNP) leader Jumma Khan Baloch by security forces.
In a statement, the Forum said the deliberate targeting of women marks a deeply disturbing escalation of violence in Balochistan. It said enforced disappearances have increasingly become a weapon used against Baloch women, shattering families and spreading fear throughout entire communities, adding that every new case demonstrates how these grave human rights violations are being normalized under complete impunity.
The statement said that the enforced disappearance of Baloch women, once presented as an exception, has today become a recurring reality. From previously disappeared Baloch women to the latest abduction of Rafia, Tania and Javeria, it said, the pattern is unmistakable.
The Forum described the normalization of these crimes as “a stain on the conscience of every institution that continues to remain silent,” asserting that Baloch women are not bargaining chips and should never be subjected to collective punishment for political purposes. It was called the systematic targeting inhumane, unlawful and an assault on the dignity of the entire Baloch nation.
The Baloch Women Forum said it refuses to remain silent while Baloch women continue to disappear, vowing to raise its voice at every national and international forum until these crimes end and those responsible are held accountable.
The Forum condemned the act in the strongest possible terms and called upon the international community, human rights mechanisms, and defenders of justice to break their silence and act before the enforced disappearance of Baloch women becomes fully normalized.
