KECH, BALOCHISTAN: The family of Zarif Baloch, son of Umar, a resident of Tump Dazan who was killed, held a press conference at the Turbat Press Club, stating that Zarif Baloch was murdered on December 27, 2024 and his body was dumped. They said that on May 22, 2026, their homes were ransacked and gold, cash and belongings were taken from the houses.
According to the family, it was not only their home but also the homes of Zarif’s sisters and other relatives that were damaged. They said that earlier, raids used to happen “for Zarif Baloch,” but questioned who they are being carried out for now, since there is no longer any man left in their households.
They said that on July 21, their homes were raided again and valuable belongings were stolen and taken away.
Addressing the press conference, a woman from the family said they are being continuously threatened and intimidated, adding that she is a woman living her life with only God’s support. According to her, her uncle and other relatives were also subjected to violence, while belongings were loaded into vehicles and taken away.
She said that gold, cash, and other valuables were also taken from their homes. She said that if anyone has a personal issue with them, they should be told directly, asserting that there is neither any weapon nor anything illegal in their home.
The family demanded that they be provided justice, that a transparent investigation be conducted into the alleged incidents against them, that they be given protection, and that the harassment against them be brought to an end.
