BLF Claims Responsibility for Killing 45 Military Personnel, DSP Mureed Bugti and a Death Squad Agent in 11 Separate Operations Across Mastung, Kharan, Rakhni, Khuzdar, Dasht, Naal, and Mashkay.
On July 29, 2026, around three o’clock, fighters of the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) set up a blockade on the CPEC link road in the Gwash Bott area of Kharan and conducted snap checking for five hours. The purpose of the blockade was to monitor suspicious activities in the area and restrict the movement of the enemy.
In another operation, the intelligence wing of the Balochistan Liberation Front provided secret information to the organization’s Sarmachars about DSP Mureed Bugti traveling in a civilian vehicle. Based on this report, on July 28, 2026, BLF Sarmachars set up a blockade and conducted snap checking at the area of Khatha Chowki on the Rakhni-Kohlu road near Rakhni, in the Koh-e-Sulaiman Division. During the operation, the target, DSP Mureed Bugti, arrived there and upon seeing the Sarmachars’ blockade, he attempted to flee, but the Sarmachars foiled his attempt and arrested Mureed Bugti along with his gunman.
The Sarmachars let go the DSP’s gunman, Rasool Bakhsh, after warning him, while DSP Mureed was shot dead on the spot. According to the BLF, this DSP had been transferred from Rakhni to Barkhan by Sarfaraz Bugti and the purpose of this posting was to activate a state-linked group known as “Aman Force,” which the BLF describes as a militia responsible for forced abductions, theft, plunder and harassment of ordinary people in the area. The BLF said it killed DSP Mureed Bugti on the charge of backing and facilitating this group.
On the afternoon of July 28, 2026, fighters of the BLF ambushed a military convoy of the Pakistani army, consisting of three vehicles, at the area of Baran Lak Hotel in the Wadh area of Khuzdar, attacking it with automatic and heavy weapons. As a result of this attack, the BLF said 10 personnel of the army were killed on the spot, while several were wounded, and two vehicles were destroyed.
On July 26, 2026, on the Kharan to Yakmach CPEC link road, the Sarmachars of BLF ambushed an advancing convoy of the Pakistani army; the BLF said the forces suffered severe losses in life and materials as a result. On the same day, in the Talkhakabi area of Mastung, BLF Sarmachars said they simultaneously targeted the Pakistani army’s main camp and a patrolling convoy with heavy and automatic weapons, in an operation the group said killed 2 personnel and wounded several others.
On July 25, 2026, in the Gresha Badi area of Naal, based on secret intelligence from the organization’s intelligence wing, BLF Sarmachars carried out an operation and killed a man identified as Nabi Bakhsh, whom the group described as an important operative of a state-linked death squad and the right hand of an individual it identified as state agent Samad.
The BLF said Nabi Bakhsh was directly involved in facilitating military operations, extortion, drug sales, and harassment of the Baloch people in Naal, Gresha, Jhao, and surrounding areas and further said he had been involved in the deaths of several BLF fighters, whom the group named as Shahzaib, Javed and Muheem.
The BLF said its fighters killed him in this operation. On the same day, BLF Sarmachars said they fired several grenade shells at the FC camp established in the Dasht Khuddan area of Kech, which the group said landed on targets inside the camp and inflicted losses. On the same day in the evening, the group said several more grenade shells were fired at the main FC camp established in Balnigwar, landing in different parts of the camp and causing losses. The BLF said that after the attack on the Balnigwar camp, the army attempted to encircle its fighters, sealing off routes and using quadcopters for surveillance and attacks; in response, the group said its fighters shot down and destroyed one quadcopter, and through guerrilla tactics broke through the encirclement and withdrew safely from the area.
On July 24, 2026, BLF Sarmachars said they targeted a checkpoint of the Pakistani army established in the Malish Band area of Mashkay with heavy and automatic weapons, claiming the army suffered severe losses in life and materials as a result.
On the same day, in the Marro Ispalanji area of Mastung, BLF Sarmachars said they attacked the Pakistani army with an IED explosion, killing 7 military personnel and wounding several others, the group said additional reinforcements advancing toward the site were then ambushed by its security units with heavy and automatic weapons, resulting in a further 5 personnel killed and several wounded, for a total of 12 claimed killed in that operation.
On July 22, 2026, at the Macro Stop in the Khadd Kocha area of Mastung, BLF Sarmachars said they attacked an advancing convoy of the Pakistani army with heavy and automatic weapons, killing 17 personnel and wounding 10, according to the group. On July 15, 2026, fighters of the Balochistan Liberation Front said they ambushed a convoy of the Pakistani army at the location of Al-Hassan Hotel in the Khadd Kocha area of Mastung, catching two vehicles of the convoy in the attack; the group said 4 military personnel were killed and several wounded, while both vehicles were completely destroyed, though other personnel managed to escape.
The BLF claims responsibility for killing 45 military personnel, DSP Mureed Bugti, and death squad operative Nabi Bakhsh, in 11 separate operations in Mastung, Kharan, Naal, Rakhni, Khuzdar, Dasht, and Mashkay. The group said that after carrying out all these operations, its Sarmachars managed to safely reach their intended destinations.
