Mir Muneer Mengal, Associated with Baloch Freedom Movement, Dies in Traffic Accident

NUSHKI, Balochistan: Mir Muneer Mengal, a figure associated with the Baloch national freedom movement, has died in a traffic accident.

Mir Muneer Mengal belonged to the Kishangi area of Nushki. He was the son of the late Mir Azad Khan Mengal and the brother of well-known poet and writer Shehzad Nazeer.

According to the source, Mir Mengal had been affiliated with the Baloch national freedom movement for the past 25 years, during which he endured periods of imprisonment. He remained associated with the movement until the end of his life.

According to sources, Mengal was critically injured in a traffic accident earlier this week and later succumbed to his injuries.

A Fatiha ceremony (prayer gathering) for him is being held at Killi Mir Azad Khan Mengal, Kishangi, Nushki.
