QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The spokesperson of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) strongly condemned the life sentences handed down to BYC leader Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Sibghatullah Baloch, and Baloch Students Organization Chairman and M.Phil. scholar Balach Qadir.
The spokesperson stated that Pakistan is a terrorist state that is using its state power and institutions to spread fear and terror in Balochistan.
According to the spokesperson, by sentencing the young leadership of Balochistan to life imprisonment, an attempt is being made to suppress resistance politics. Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Sibghatullah Baloch, and Balach Qadir have been raising their voices against state oppression and human rights violations committed against the Baloch nation through peaceful political resistance. They have been punished in order to intimidate Baloch national activists and discourage them from continuing their political struggle.

The spokesperson said that the Baloch nation has no confidence in “faceless” courts or in Pakistan’s Constitution and legal system. The spokesperson added that this sentence is not merely directed against a few individuals or the future leadership of the Baloch nation; rather, it is a decision by the state against the entire Baloch nation, which will be challenged and resisted at every level.
The spokesperson said that BNM rejects the verdict. According to the spokesperson, this act of judicial terrorism by Pakistan cannot stop the Baloch national movement or obstruct the path of resistance politics.
