QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Jeeyand Baloch, issued a detailed statement to the media claiming that BLA fighters carried out 26 operations across various areas of Balochistan over a period of ten days, targeting military camps, checkpoints, convoys and what the group described as collaborators.

According to the statement, the attacks resulted in the killing of 30 security personnel and injuries to several others, while significant financial losses were also inflicted. The group also claimed to have destroyed bridges on major highways and carried out economic blockades on key routes. BLA fighter Sangat Safar Khan was killed during clashes in the operations, the statement added.

Jeeyand Baloch said that on the night of June 11, fighters attacked a Pakistani military post in the Parom area of Panjgur. Separately, in the Mangochar area of Kalat at a location called Badrang, near an extractive company, fighters fired multiple rockets and grenades at a military post, causing casualties and material losses in both attacks.

On June 12, BLA claimed that a Pakistani military officer was killed in a targeted attack in the Islpanji area of Mastung. Fighters also set up a blockade near Mian Ghundi in Quetta on the main highway, where an attack on an advancing military vehicle killed three personnel. When additional military and police reinforcements attempted to advance, further clashes resulted in two more military personnel and one police officer being killed, with at least four others wounded. BLA fighter Sangat Safar Khan was martyred in these clashes, the statement said.

The spokesperson said that on June 14, military personnel were targeted in an IED attack in the Gorkop Sar Kullag area of Kech, killing one soldier on the spot. On the same day, fighters fired mortar shells at military positions in the Kurdgap area of Mastung, killing and wounding several personnel. The statement said that in retaliation, the military fired mortar shells on civilian populations in Kurdgap city, killing one woman and critically injuring a child.

BLA claimed one of its most significant operations on June 15, when fighters destroyed a military vehicle using an IED at Ahmad Waal Phatak in Noshki on the main highway, then ambushed the remaining convoy. Five military vehicles, including an armored vehicle, came under direct fire, resulting in the killing of eight military personnel and wounding of several others.

In a separate attack in Balangur, Talwayg Bazaar area of Kech, fighters ambushed two military vehicles near a main military camp, killing three personnel and destroying one vehicle with a rocket. Another attack on a military convoy on the Quetta–Taftan highway in Kurdgap, Mastung targeted vehicles providing security to military officers. Two vehicles were directly hit and a quadcopter deployed by the military was shot down. At least six military personnel were killed and several wounded in this attack.

Jeeyand Baloch said that on a Monday night, fighters fired rockets and grenades at an Airport Security Force (ASF) camp inside the premises of Turbat International Airport, killing one ASF personnel and wounding two others. On June 5, fighters also fired multiple grenades at a military checkpoint in the Diyat area of Turbat, causing damage and destroying surveillance cameras installed at the post.
In Khad Kocha area of Mastung, at a location called Zad Ghulam Jan, fighters attacked a military vehicle killing two personnel.

Furthermore, on June 16, fighters destroyed a major bridge on the Quetta–Karachi highway in Surab and another bridge on a link road in the Kishangi area of Noshki using explosives. On the same night, fighters targeted and disabled seven large vehicles on the Panjgur–Cheedgi route.

On June 17, in the Zehri area of Khuzdar at a location called Kocho, BLA claimed fighters ambushed a bomb disposal squad and accompanying military vehicles, inflicting losses.

BLA claimed responsibility for the killing of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and CTD officer Afzal Muhammad Hassani in an armed attack in Noshki Bazaar on June 18. The group said the officer was directly involved in enforced disappearances, targeted killings and recruiting informants for the military in Noshki. The operation was claimed to have been carried out by BLA’s special unit, the Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS).

On June 17, BLA also claimed the killing of Muhammad Qasim Badini, described as a Military Intelligence (MI) operative, near Ameen ud Din Road in Noshki city. The group said he worked as an informant and was given free rein for extortion. The statement also alleged he was involved in blackmailing and sexually exploiting young men.

BLA further claimed that on June 15, Tawoos Khan, described as an ISI operative, was killed near the National Bank in Noshki city. The group said he had worked for intelligence agencies for years, facilitating raids and recruiting informants, and was involved in the recruitment of individuals later killed in a 2024 BLA attack.

On June 19, BLA claimed that CTD personnel were targeted in a remote-controlled IED attack near a bridge at Mian Ghundi in Quetta while traveling on motorcycles, with two officers caught in the blast. On the same day, fighters seized control of the Quetta–Karachi main highway in the Ali Koh area of Ornach and conducted checking operations for several hours.

On June 20, BLA fighters targeted three bowzer vehicles in Noshki and disabled their tyres. A military convoy vehicle was also targeted with a remote-controlled IED at Mastung Bypass, causing damage. In the Parom area of Panjgur, a vehicle belonging to what BLA described as a death squad was targeted and damaged. Additionally, fighters seized control of the Panjgur–Cheedgi route at Zaraat and disabled the tyres of a trailer vehicle.

Concluding the statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch reaffirmed the group’s commitment to continuing and intensifying operations until what he described as the complete withdrawal of occupying forces from Baloch land and the achievement of national independence. He stated that economically and militarily paralyzing the enemy state is a core part of their strategy, and that all military institutions, local networks, death squads and what he called exploitative partners looting Balochistan’s resources would remain targets of the BLA.
