
DERA BUGTI: An armed exchange of fire between Frontier Corps (FC) personnel and unidentified armed men took place near Mandar Colony on the Sui Ring Road in Dera Bugti, Balochistan, leaving two FC officers wounded.
According to local sources, the incident occurred when unidentified armed men and FC personnel came face to face near Mandar Colony, triggering an intense exchange of gunfire from both sides. The firefight resulted in two FC personnel sustaining injuries, one of whom is reported to be in a critical condition. Both wounded were transferred to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Following the incident, Pakistani security forces immediately launched a search operation in the area in an attempt to locate and apprehend those responsible. However, the armed men involved in the firefight managed to flee the scene before forces could close in.
No armed group or organisation has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. The identities and affiliations of the armed men involved in the firefight remain unknown at the time of this report. Pakistani security forces and government authorities have not issued an official statement.
