BLA Says Quetta Suicide Attack Carried Out by a Commander and a Veteran of Multiple Frontlines

QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has issued another statement regarding the military shuttle train attack in Quetta, revealing the identity of the attacker. According to the statement released by the organization, the attack was carried out by a member of the Majeed Brigade’s suicide unit and commander Bilal Shahwani, also known as Sain.

The spokesperson said that the Baloch Liberation Army’s suicide unit, the Majeed Brigade, targeted a military shuttle train carrying personnel of the occupying Pakistani forces at Chaman Phatak in Quetta early this morning in a suicide attack, inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy. The BLA has claimed full responsibility for the attack. It further stated that detailed figures regarding the human and material losses suffered by the Pakistani military will be released later in the form of a comprehensive report according to the organization’s standard procedure.

The statement further read that this suicide mission was carried out independently by the brave suicide operative of the Majeed Brigade and commander Bilal Shahwani, also known as Sain. The 25-year-old suicide operative, Bilal Shahwani, son of Chief Abdul Ghani Shahwani, was a resident of Kali Sarde, Saryab area of Quetta. He joined the Baloch resistance movement for independence in 2020. Based on his outstanding performance in the field and organizational discipline, he was inducted into the Majeed Brigade’s suicide unit in 2022 upon his own request. He remained active on important fronts in Naghau, Dasht Kombila, Quetta, and Kalat, and due to his exceptional military capabilities, he was promoted to the rank of commander.

Commander Bilal Shahwani, also known as Sain, was described as an active and strategic military mind within the BLA network. Over the past six months, he directly commanded all major attacks and guerrilla operations against the occupying forces on the entire Dasht Kombila front. Earlier, during the organization’s historic military engagement “Operation Herof I,” he led the forward units against the enemy on the Kalat front. During “Operation Herof II,” he commanded suicide squads in the highly sensitive Red Zone area of Quetta, breaking through enemy defensive barriers.

The statement said that successfully targeting military personnel at the exact moment they were being covertly transported from Quetta Cantonment via shuttle train to the Jaffar Express demonstrates the deep intelligence penetration of the BLA’s intelligence wing “Zirab” and the combat expertise of Commander Bilal Shahwani.

It further stated that the Baloch Liberation Army pays tribute to its suicide commander Bilal Shahwani, also known as Sain, for his organizational services and ultimate sacrifice. The voluntary decision of an active field commander to undertake a suicide mission reflects the organizational evolution and ideological strength of the BLA. This decision demonstrates that the Baloch national resistance has evolved beyond traditional guerrilla warfare into a modern military structure where commanders prioritize collective national objectives over individual roles. Bilal Shahwani’s action will be recorded in history as a key principle in the political and military struggle of oppressed nations, proving that confronting a modern material state network is only possible through deep ideological discipline, intelligence capability, sacrifice, and a sustained strategic commitment. The struggle will continue until full sovereignty over Baloch land and complete independence is achieved.
