
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG), a militant organization, has claimed responsibility for a coordinated attack on Bagh city in Kachhi district early Friday, saying its fighters surrounded a security forces camp and opened fire, killing five personnel and wounding several others. The group also claimed to have shot down two quadcopters.
In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Dostain Baloch, the BRG said its fighters also attacked the City Police Station, causing casualties and damage and claimed to have seized and set fire to the Sadar Police Station, NADRA office, Assistant Commissioner’s office, a National Bank branch and several other government buildings, along with seizing weapons and equipment found there.
The group said that security forces opened fire on civilians during the operation, wounding several people and said its fighters withdrew safely after the operation concluded.
The BRG said it was claiming responsibility for the attack and warned that similar attacks would continue.
