One Year Since Enforced Disappearance of Former BSC Chairman Shoaib Baloch, Family Appeals for Recovery

NASIRABAD: One year has passed since the enforced disappearance of Shoaib Baloch, former chairman of Baloch Students Council Multan, however his family says they have received no information regarding his whereabouts or wellbeing to date.

According to family members, Shoaib Baloch was taken into custody from the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi on May 12, 2025, and has not been seen or heard from since. The family said no official information has been provided by the relevant authorities in the entire year following his disappearance.

The family has appealed to human rights organizations, journalists and civil society to raise their voice for the recovery of Shoaib Baloch and to help obtain information about his condition and whereabouts.

Family members said that despite a full year passing, uncertainty surrounding Shoaib Baloch’s condition and location continues to persist, causing them severe psychological distress.
