NASIRABAD, BALOCHISTAN: Unknown individuals destroyed two 220-kilovolt high-tension electricity transmission towers using explosives in Nasirabad district, police said, raising fears of widespread power outages across several areas of Balochistan.
According to police, the attack targeted the high transmission system supplying electricity from Sindh’s Guddu Thermal Power Station to inner Balochistan. The two towers were blown up in the Mir Hassan Bairoon area, within the jurisdiction of Police Station Chhatar, District Nasirabad.

Police said the explosions were powerful enough to be heard from a great distance, bringing both towers crashing to the ground.
Upon receiving information, local police and security forces rushed to the scene, cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Teams from the National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) also reached the site.
According to officials, repair and restoration work has been initiated under security supervision.
