Khuzdar: A complete curfew has been imposed in the Zehri area of Khuzdar for the past four days, leaving local residents facing serious difficulties and disrupting daily life.
According to local reports, markets, business centers, transport services and general movement have remained entirely shut since the curfew was enforced. The closure of connecting roads has further isolated the town and surrounding villages, severely affecting routine activities.
Residents say the prolonged restrictions have led to a shortage of food and essential supplies. With the holy month of Ramadan underway, many families are struggling to access basic necessities. Reports from the area indicate that infants and children are facing hunger due to a lack of food, while patients are unable to receive proper medical care and medicines.
The blockade of roads has also cut off several nearby rural areas from Zehri, increasing the hardships faced by local communities. Thousands of travelers are reportedly stranded on both sides of the closed routes and have been unable to return to their homes for several days.
Local residents have expressed concern that the strict curfew during Ramadan has paralyzed everyday life and caused widespread anxiety among the population. They have urged authorities to ease the restrictions on humanitarian grounds and ensure the supply of food, medicine, and other essential items.
