Dera Bugti: Bomb Blast Near Survey Team, Driver Killed in Firing Incident in Wadh

QUETTA: A bomb explosion occurred near a survey team’s vehicle in Dera Bugti, while a driver transporting minerals was shot dead in a separate firing incident in Wadh, according to local authorities.

Police said the blast took place in the Pir Koh Kalleri area of Dera Bugti near Well No. 10, where an explosive device planted close to a survey team’s vehicle detonated. The incident occurred on Friday; however, no casualties were reported.

Following the explosion, police and security forces rushed to the scene in large numbers and cordoned off the area to begin investigations.

In a separate incident, unidentified armed men opened fire on a vehicle transporting minerals near the Shohada checkpost in Wadh, a tehsil of Khuzdar. The driver of the vehicle was hit by gunfire and died on the spot.

Local authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation into the attack.
