Kech: Armed Men Set Up Roadblock, Reports of Clash with Pakistani forces Convoy

KECH: A large number of armed men reportedly set up a blockade on the main highway in the Nodiz area of Kech, where they carried out snap-checking of vehicles for several hours, according to eyewitnesses. Vehicles passing through the area were stopped and searched during the blockade.

During the same period, a joint convoy of Pakistani security forces and what local sources described as a “death squad” came under attack while attempting to advance into the area.

Initial reports suggest that at least three personnel were killed and several others wounded in the attack. An armored vehicle was also reportedly damaged.

As of the last reports, heavy gunfire and explosions were still being heard in the area.
