Balochistan Liberation Front spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch while claiming the responsibility for killing of an official of Pakistan’s Military Intelligence (MI), Said on a statement released to media that “Our Sarmachars killed a MI Official named Zahid Mehmood s/o Anwar resident of Hyder Abad Sindh, yesterday evening at 7.30 pm in Turbat, the main city of Kech.
He added” Zahid Mehmood was a serving official of Pakistani Military Intelligence (MI). He was posted in Turbat city for the last four years. Our intelligence wing was tracking him for the past one year. He used to network for the MI, working undercover by living among the local population under various guises. In Turbat, land mafias used to seize people’s lands every day with the help of this MI official.He added “On the information of the intelligence wing of our organization, the operating squad fired and killed him last evening. At the time of the attack, a local spy person Yarjan alias Yar resident of Solband Kech was also with the MI official. After targeting Mehmood, he managed to escape by firing.
The Sarmachars did not fire any more for the safety of the common people present so that the general population would not be harmed. On July 31, 2023, our Sarmachars conducted a raid to arrest a wanted person in the satellite town area of Turbat on the basis of secret information, on the same day Yarjan alias Yari tried to block the ways of Sarmachars, on which the Sarmachars targeted him in which he were injured. We once again appeal to the public to keep a safe distance from state informants and forces so that no untoward incident takes place.
The Balochistan Liberation Front claimed responsibility for the attack and added that “Our Attacks on the occupying forces and their supporting vehicles will continue until the objective is achieved.
