Quetta: The protest camp organized by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan continued for the 6,038th consecutive day outside the Quetta Press Club. The camp was led by the organization’s Central Secretary General, Hooran Baloch.
Families of the missing persons including Fareed Kurd, Nadeem Kurd, Lal Muhammad Marri and Kaleemullah participated in the protest. On this occasion, the families expressed serious concern over the enforced disappearance of their loved ones and demanded their immediate recovery from the government and relevant authorities.
The protesters said that despite the passage of many years, no clear information has been provided about the fate of the missing persons. They termed this a grave violation of human rights and a source of continuous suffering for the affected families. They appealed that the missing individuals should be brought before the public immediately or, if there are any charges against them, they should be produced in courts in accordance with the law.
VBMP leadership reiterated that the peaceful protest will continue on a permanent basis until all missing persons are recovered.
