Kalat: The Pakistan Army’s media wing (ISPR) has claimed that security forces killed four armed men during an operation in Kalat district on the night of November 1.
According to the ISPR statement, the operation was carried out following reports of militant presence in the area. The military also claimed to have recovered weapons and ammunition during the action. However, the identities or group affiliations of the deceased were not disclosed.
The incident comes a day after the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for killing 17 Pakistani soldiers in multiple attacks across Kalat on November 2, saying that its fighters ambushed a military patrol in the Makee area and destroyed their supplies.
In the past, several similar operations by Pakistani forces in Balochistan have later been disputed or proven false, with reports alleging that forcibly disappeared persons were killed and portrayed as militants. Local sources note that independent verification of ISPR’s claims remains difficult, raising further concerns about possible war crimes in the conflict-hit region.
