Awaran: Deadly attack on Pakistani forces, multiple killed and injured

Awaran: A convoy of Pakistani security forces came under a deadly attack in the Jhao area of Awaran district, Balochistan, leaving multiple personnel killed and injured.

According to Local Sources, the assault occurred when the convoy was returning from a military operation. Armed assailants, who had laid an ambush, targeted the forces with heavy gunfire and explosions.

At least three military vehicles were destroyed, while gunfire and blasts reportedly continued for over an hour.

An emergency has been declared at Awaran District Hospital and ambulances and military vehicles were dispatched to move the dead and injured.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. However, the incident follows a similar assault in Jhao days earlier, which was claimed by the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF).
