Nasrullah Baloch Backs Protest Marking Eight Years of Shabbir Baloch’s Disappearance

QUETTA: The Chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), Nasrullah Baloch, on Thursday has declared his support for a protest rally in Turbat to mark eight years since the enforced disappearance of political activist Shabbir Baloch.

According to Nasrullah Baloch, Shabbir’s family will lead the demonstration on October 4, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Shaheed Fida Chowk, Turbat. He called on political parties, student organizations, and the wider public to participate actively in the rally and show solidarity with the family’s demand for his release.

Highlighting the ongoing plight of missing persons in Balochistan, he stressed that public mobilization and sustained pressure are crucial to keep the issue in focus. “Raising a collective voice is the only way to secure the release of Shabbir Baloch and countless others facing the same ordeal,” he said.

The case of Shabbir Baloch remains emblematic of the broader crisis of enforced disappearances in the province, an issue that continues to draw concern from human rights organizations.
