In Khuzdar’s Baghbana Bajoi area, a 12-year-old innocent girl, Ayesha Bibi, was abducted at night by influential tribal figures. In response to the incident, the girl’s relatives and local women blocked the national highway in protest.
According to eyewitnesses, the protesters closed the road at Chukako Check Post Bajoi Cross to all types of traffic, demanding that the highway remain closed until Ayesha Bibi is recovered. A large number of women also participated in the protest.
At the scene, Maulana Rehmatullah and other relatives told media representatives that they would raise their voice on every platform to secure the recovery of their innocent child. They appealed to the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court, Corps Commander Balochistan, Commissioner of Quetta Division, Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar and other senior officials to take immediate action to recover the girl and arrest the perpetrators.
The protesters warned that if the authorities did not take immediate notice, the national highway would remain closed indefinitely.
