In the Nal area of Khuzdar district, Balochistan, operatives of a death squad allegedly backed by the Pakistani military abducted and brutally tortured a young man before releasing him in an injured condition.
According to sources, the victim has been identified as Arif, son of Haji Mohammad Salah, a resident of Hiri in Nal. He was reportedly abducted two days ago by men affiliated with the death squad leader Mir Shahmeer Bizenjo.
Local residents said the youth was subjected to severe physical torture, with clear signs of abuse visible on his body.
