Reports from Kharan district in Balochistan confirm that three successive explosions were heard in the city, followed by gunfire. According to sources, armed assailants targeted a Frontier Corps (FC) checkpoint near Lataar Cross by the bypass road.
In a separate incident, Levies sources stated that unidentified individuals threw a hand grenade at a Levies police station in the Dhadar area of Bolan and fled the scene.
No casualties were reported in the grenade attack; however, Levies personnel responded with gunfire, resulting in an exchange with the attackers.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for either attack.
