In its statement, the Baloch Students Organization (BSO Azad) said that the Baloch national movement is filled with a history of great sacrifices. It is because of these sacrifices that today the Baloch national movement has become a living reality, deeply rooted in the hearts of the Baloch people and firmly established in Balochistan. As a result, Balochistan has become a difficult place for the enemy. Sixteen years ago, the occupying Pakistani army abducted and later dumped the mutilated bodies of Shaheed Ghulam Muhammad, Shaheed Lala Munir and Shaheed Sher Muhammad, further awakening the Baloch nation to their enslaved condition. Since that day, the occupying forces have continued their war crimes in Balochistan from enforced disappearances of political activists to dumping of mutilated bodies. These acts reveal the enemy’s extreme brutality in an attempt to crush the Baloch national movement.
The brutal campaign that began with the martyrdom of Ghulam Muhammad and his comrades continues today with the same intensity. However, the ideology of Chairman Ghulam Muhammad and the consciousness of freedom among the Baloch people have now reached every household in Balochistan, creating fear in the hearts of the enemy. The state attempted to instill fear in the minds of political workers by killing Ghulam Muhammad and his companions, but the enemy fails to realize that ideologies and philosophies cannot be killed through physical elimination. The thoughts and ideas that Ghulam Muhammad helped spread across Balochistan cannot be erased through enforced disappearances or mutilated corpses.
Today, sixteen years have passed since the Murgaap martyrs sacrificed their lives, and the freedom movement has only grown stronger, more powerful and more organized. From the Koh-e-Sulaiman and Rakhshan regions to Naseerabad and every corner of Balochistan, the struggle for freedom has taken on a structured form. Young people are ready to make any sacrifice for this movement, a testament to the success of the Murgaap martyrs’ ideology and philosophy.
The statement adds that the enemy, drunk on power, fails to understand that force cannot eliminate an ideology. In continuation of its oppressive campaign, more than 20 Baloch youth have been martyred in the past month alone, including 8 from Mashkay. From Barkhan and Koh-e-Sulaiman to Makran, the occupying army continues its policy of “kill and dump”, abducting people and then dumping their mutilated bodies. But despite these brutalities, the freedom movement grows more organized and active each day.
The political ideologies for which the Baloch leadership was martyred have now reached every home in Balochistan. The Murgaap martyrs have succeeded in their mission. By martyring Ghulam Muhammad and his companions, the occupying army sent a message to the Baloch people that they intend to rule Balochistan like a colony through force and terror. But today, the philosophy and struggle for freedom have deprived the occupiers of sleep. From the halls of the enemy’s parliament to every part of Punjab, awareness about the Baloch national movement is spreading. The day is not far when the enemy will be forced to retreat and flee from Balochistan due to the unrelenting resistance of the Baloch people.
The martyrdom of the Murgaap heroes has played a vital role in nurturing the national freedom struggle and its ideological foundation. Their sacrifices are a guiding light for Baloch political activists.
The spokesperson, in the statement, called upon the Baloch people especially political activists to honor the memory of the Murgaap martyrs, Shaheed Waja Ghulam Muhammad, Shaheed Lala Sher Muhammad, and Shaheed Lala Munir, by embracing their ideology and philosophy, and by joining the national freedom movement. Everyone must play their role in organizing and energizing the struggle. Today, every household in Balochistan is aware of the reality that the national movement and the struggle for independence are the only paths to liberation, a truth illuminated by the blood of the Murgaap martyrs. Their sacrifices will forever be remembered in the Baloch national movement, and their thoughts and ideals will continue to guide future generations of political activists.
