QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The protest camp run by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan completed 6,400 days outside the Quetta Press Club, the organisation said.
The sister of Sagheer Ahmed attended the camp and said her brother and cousin, Iqrar Baloch, were taken into custody at the Ormara checkpoint on June 11, 2025, and then forcibly disappeared. She said that although witness statements have been recorded and the case is before the relevant authorities, neither man has been recovered, leaving the family in severe mental distress.
VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch demanded that Sagheer Ahmed, Iqrar Baloch and all other forcibly disappeared persons be recovered. He said anyone accused of an offence should be produced before a magistrate within 24 hours and dealt with under the law. He also called for families to be given information about their missing relatives, for transparent investigations into such cases, and for those responsible to be held accountable.
