QUETTA, BALOCHSITAN: The protest camp of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan continued for its 6,362nd consecutive day outside the Press Club.

On this occasion, Maheem Khan Baloch, former chairman of the Baloch Students Organization, joined the protest camp in a show of solidarity and called for an end to enforced disappearances and the recovery of missing persons.

VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch said it was deeply concerning that complaints of enforced disappearances, as well as the discovery of mutilated bodies of previously missing persons, were being received daily from various parts of Balochistan.

He said that unconstitutional measures such as enforced disappearances and the dumping of bodies of missing persons would not improve the situation in Balochistan but would instead make it worse.

Nasrullah Baloch called on the government and heads of state institutions to take serious notice of the situation and ensure that all institutions act in accordance with national laws and the constitution.

He demanded an immediate end to the extrajudicial killing and enforced disappearance of missing Baloch persons, the recovery of missing persons and that those facing allegations be presented before courts in order to end the ongoing unrest in Balochistan and move the situation toward improvement.
