Changiaz killed in custody

KECH, BALOCHISTAN: The family of Changez, son of Muhammad Ibrahim, a resident of Alandor in Kech district, has alleged that he died in the custody of Pakistani security forces, who have since refused to hand over his body.

According to the family, 24-year-old Changez was forcibly disappeared after being taken into custody by personnel of the Pakistani Frontier Corps (FC) from Apsar, Turbat, on 4 September 2026, at around 11 p.m.

Family sources further claim that Changez had previously faced pressure from Pakistani intelligence agencies to act as an informant against Baloch political activists.

The family said they approached various institutions and individuals in an effort to secure his recovery. They were later informed by Pakistani forces that Changez had died in custody and had already been buried by the Pakistani forces.

According to the family, they were also shown a photograph of Changez’s body.
