
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Baloch fighters carried out a series of attacks against Pakistani forces and state-backed death squads in three separate districts today, resulting in multiple casualties.
According to a local source, in the Kanak area of Mastung, firing by Baloch fighters killed two members of a death squad led by Fareed Raisani, while a third member was seriously injured. One of the deceased was from Dhadar and two were from Mastung. Police said the slain men were involved in multiple incidents of theft and robbery.
According to sources, armed men separately set up a blockade this morning in the Marav area of Mastung, searching passing vehicles throughout the day. At around 4:00 PM, they targeted a civilian vehicle carrying military officers, seriously injuring two of them, who managed to escape the scene despite their injuries. The blockade continued from morning until evening.
In Kharan, armed men raided a house near the city’s bypass area last night, arresting one armed individual along with weapons after heavy firing during the operation. The man, identified as Sanjoo Tagapi, is reportedly affiliated with a Pakistani death squad, according to eyewitnesses.
Separately, in the Wadh tehsil area of Khuzdar, a bomb attack targeted a vehicle belonging to Pakistani forces, resulting in casualties.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the Kharan or Khuzdar incidents.
