QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: A photograph has surfaced along with reports of three young men being shifted to a jail in Barkhan district, Balochistan.
The dishevelled condition and appearance of the young men seen in the photograph have raised fears that they had been forcibly disappeared and held in the custody of Pakistani military and intelligence agencies and that their “arrest” is now being shown by transferring them to jail.
According to the information received, the young men shifted to Barkhan Jail have been identified as Shah Jahan, son of Abdul Malik Muhammad Hasni (resident of Mangochar), Muhammad Qabil, son of Manzoor Ahmed Kurd (resident of Jalal Abad, Mach) and Lala Zahir, son of Muhammad Tahir Merwani (resident of Panjgur).
Along with the photograph and information circulating on social media, an appeal has been made that if anyone is acquainted with these individuals or their families and relatives, they should immediately contact the Barkhan Jail administration or relevant authorities so that their families can be informed of their whereabouts and wellbeing.
It is worth noting that Balochistan has previously seen numerous similar incidents in which individuals forcibly disappeared for months or years were secretly transferred to various jails, with their detention then shown as a fresh arrest.
