QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: A police official was killed in firing by unidentified armed men in Balochistan’s Mastung area, while a tribal man, Ekhlaq Khidrani and another individual were abducted from Khuzdar.
According to police, on Monday, unidentified armed men opened fire near a private library in Mastung, killing police official Ehsanullah. Police took custody of the body and transferred it to Shaheed Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Memorial Hospital, where it was handed over to the family after completing necessary procedures, with further investigation now underway.
Separately, in Khuzdar district, a tribal man and one other individual were abducted.
According to security force sources, unidentified armed men abducted Ekhlaq Khidrani and his brother Javed from Khuzdar’s Aranji tehsil, while their third brother managed to escape the abductors.The armed men fled the scene with the abducted individuals. Security forces have set up checkpoints in the area and launched a search operation to recover them.
