QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Armed men blocked key highways, attacked a security checkpoint, abducted government personnel, and targeted infrastructure in separate incidents across Balochistan.

According to the source, in Kharan, armed men set up a roadblock at Norouz Qalat on the Quetta-Kharan highway, conducting snap checks on passing vehicles for several hours.

A similar blockade was established at Kroak Phatak on the Quetta-Taftan highway near Dalbandin, where armed men searched vehicles before taking control of a Pakistani forces checkpoint. They then planted explosives and destroyed the post.

On the same highway near Dhadar, unidentified gunmen stormed a temporary Excise Department checkpoint and abducted three excise officials, along with two government vehicles and official weapons. According to Dalbandin police, the officials were on duty at the time of the attack when the armed men took them, along with the vehicles and arms.

Meanwhile, armed men also took control of the main highway in Dhadar, continuing snap checks in the area.

In a separate incident in Mustung’s Dasht area, unidentified attackers targeted a gas pipeline with explosives overnight, damaging the line and disrupting gas supply to the region. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the extent of the damage or timeline for repairs.

Near Darkhshan Post, bombers also struck bulldozer vehicles, reducing three of them to ashes.

No group has claimed responsibility for either the highway blockades or the Mustung attacks, though such incidents have historically been attributed to Baloch separatist militant organizations.
