Armed Blockades and Attacks on Pakistani Forces in Kharan and Quetta, Two Bridges Destroyed

QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: This morning in Kharan, a large number of armed individuals set up blockades on highways in the areas of Noroz Qalat, Zaroozi, and Sarawan, taking control of these regions. Pakistani forces faced casualties during an armed attack while attempting to advance in the Noroz Qalat area, with reports indicating two personnel were killed, though officials have not yet confirmed this. Additionally, two bridges on the Kharan-Karachi main highway in Sarawan were destroyed using explosives.

Regional sources also report that forces fired mortar shells on civilian areas in Noroz Qalat, but details on casualties or damage remain unclear.

Meanwhile, near Quetta at Daghari Cross, armed individuals seized a pickup truck carrying supplies to a Pakistani forces post along with the supplies. The drivers were later released, but the vehicle and supplies remain in the armed group’s possession.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for these recent attacks and blockades.
