LONDON: Sarang Sindhi, Coordinator of the Europe Chapter of Voice for Missing Persons of Sindh, along with Deputy Coordinator Saeed Sindhi, has condemned the illegal sentencing of leaders of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC). A special court in Quetta, Pakistan, sentenced Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Chief of BYC, and central leader Shah Ji Sibghatullah to life imprisonment in their absence, without following due legal process.

In a joint statement, Sarang Sindhi expressed deep concern over this violation of human rights. He described Dr. Mahrang Baloch as a prominent figure in the ongoing struggle for human rights, leading a sustained campaign for the recovery of missing persons and the restoration of fundamental rights in Balochistan.

He further highlighted the collaborative efforts of BYC and Voice for Missing Persons of Sindh, organizations dedicated to advocating for the rights of missing persons in Karachi and Islamabad.

Sarang Sindhi and Saeed Sindhi appealed to the British Prime Minister, British Parliament, Amnesty International, the United Nations, the European Union, and the global conscience to take notice of this unjust and inhumane action. They urged international bodies to pressure the Government of Pakistan to revoke the illegal sentences and ensure the immediate release of Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Shah Ji Sibghatullah, and their associates.
