SOHBATPUR/SIBBI: Two separate security incidents were reported overnight across Balochistan, with a Rangers post coming under armed attack in Sohbatpur and electricity transmission towers being destroyed in a bombing in Sibi, sources said
Rangers Post Targeted in Sohbatpur
Armed individuals attacked a Rangers post at the Biscuit locality in Sohbatpur late last night, according to sources. The attack targeted the security installation in what appeared to be a deliberate and coordinated assault.
Authorities have not released any details regarding casualties, damage or the identity of the attackers. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack at the time of reporting.
Power Towers Bombed in Sibi
In a separate overnight incident, unidentified individuals planted explosives on two electricity transmission towers in the Lamji area of Sibi, completely destroying them. Two additional towers also sustained damage in the attack, sources confirmed.
The bombing has raised concerns over potential disruption to electricity supply in the affected areas. No casualties have been reported and no group has claimed responsibility at this time.
Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding either incident.
