QUETTA: Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) has expressed deep concern over the enforced disappearances of Sameena Baloch and Qambar Baloch, calling for their immediate and safe recovery.
According to VBMP, Qambar Baloch, son of Abdul Latif from Nal’s Falaqa Usthli and Sameena Baloch, daughter of Dost Muhammad from Ornach, were reportedly taken into custody by security forces and transferred to unknown locations.
Family members have stated that neither individual has been presented before any court, nor have they been informed about their whereabouts, causing significant worry.
VBMP stated that arresting any citizen without a warrant, holding them at secret locations and withholding information from their families is not only a violation of the country’s constitution but also a serious breach of fundamental human rights. The organization described these actions as extrajudicial and said such practices weaken the rule of law.
The organization also highlighted that enforced disappearances of women are a highly sensitive and grave issue that contradicts societal values and human dignity, demanding urgent attention.
VBMP urged the government and relevant authorities to ensure the safe recovery of Sameena Baloch and Qambar Baloch. If there are any allegations against them, they should be presented in court and given full legal rights as per the constitution and the law.
VBMP reaffirmed its commitment to continue its peaceful struggle against enforced disappearances and to raise the voices of affected families on every platform.
