QUETTA: Reports have emerged of road blockades and snap-checking activities by armed individuals in multiple areas of Balochistan, including Dhadar, Sibi, Mastung and Sorab.
According to sources, a blockade was set up on the main highway between Dhadar and Soran by Armed men, where vehicles were reportedly stopped and checked. Similar activity was also reported in the Sorab area a day earlier, where snap-checking of vehicles was conducted at a blockade.
In another incident, armed individuals reportedly maintained control over a highway in the Kat Mandai area of Sibi for more than two hours, during which vehicles were subjected to snap-checking.
Meanwhile, in the Kanak area of Mastung, armed individuals reportedly seized a police checkpost. During the incident, weapons belonging to police personnel were taken and a vehicle was set on fire.
No casualties have been reported in any of these incidents so far, and no group has claimed responsibility for the activities.
