HUB: At least two people, including a child, were killed while several others were injured after strong winds and heavy rains struck the Hub, Balochistan.
Deputy Commissioner Ismail Ibrahim said during a visit to Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital that the fatalities occurred when walls collapsed at two different locations in Hub, including Ramzan Mari Goth in Sakuran.
He added that at least 15 people were injured in similar incidents and were shifted to Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital for medical treatment.
According to the deputy commissioner, strong winds also triggered a fire in the Winder area, causing significant losses to poultry farms and damage to houses and other properties.
Authorities have initiated relief efforts for the affected families, while an assessment of the financial losses is currently underway.
