Blast on Railway Track Near Shikarpur Disrupts Train Service

SINDH: A blast was reported on a railway track near Shikarpur between Sultan Kot and Humayun Sharif railway stations, disrupting train operations.

According to initial reports, the explosion targeted the railway line. However, there were no immediate reports of casualties in the incident.

Sources said that the 39-Up Jaffar Express had passed the location shortly before the explosion occurred. Meanwhile, an Eid special train traveling from Quetta to Punjab was stopped at a nearby station as a precautionary measure.

Railway officials, the bomb disposal squad, and law enforcement agencies have reached the site. Inspection of the damaged track and collection of evidence are currently underway.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
