
QUETTA: The Spokesperson of Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) Major Gwahram Baloch, has claimed responsibility for multiple operations targeting government forces and personnel of a mineral exploration company in Jhao, Turbat and Chagai.
The Spokesperson said that on the evening of March 6, 2026, its fighters targeted a soldier deployed at a military checkpoint in the Gazzi area of Jhao using a sniper rifle, resulting in the soldier’s death on the spot.
In another attack on March 14, 2026, the group said its fighters targeted a Frontier Corps post responsible for Turbat Airport with a hand grenade, causing casualties and material damage inside the post.
The BLF further claimed that on the same day, its fighters surrounded a police patrol in the Chogan Kandag area of Turbat, disarmed the personnel and seized three government rifles with magazines and a government vehicle. The group stated that the police personnel were released safely as a humanitarian gesture.
In a separate operation on March 13, 2026, BLF fighters detained personnel of a mineral exploration company in the Wadh area of Chagai, seized one weapon, damaged their vehicle and released the staff safely. The organization warned companies engaged in mineral exploration and extraction in Balochistan to immediately cease activities or face consequences.
The BLF claimed responsibility for all the attacks on government forces and company personnel, as well as the seizure of weapons, emphasizing that these operations were part of their ongoing campaign in the region.
