QUETTA: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks in Gwadar, Jhao and Turbat, stating that four personnel of the Pakistan Army were killed.

In a statement, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said that on March 12, 2026, a BLF unit ambushed military personnel riding two motorcycles between the Domb and Mirjat areas of Gwadar. According to the statement, three soldiers were killed on the spot while another was seriously wounded.

The spokesperson claimed that the targeted personnel were involved in collecting extortion from oil transporters, alleging that security forces impose illegal payments on vehicles transporting oil in the area.

On the same day, BLF fighters also targeted a naval installation operated by the Pakistan Navy in Turbat. According to the statement, two 107mm rockets were fired at the Turbat Naval Camp, with the group claiming the rockets struck inside the facility and caused casualties and material losses.

In a separate incident, the BLF said that on March 6, 2026, its fighters carried out a sniper attack on a soldier stationed at a military checkpoint in the Gazzi area of Jhao, killing him at the scene.

The Balochistan Liberation Front stated that it accepts responsibility for the attacks in Gwadar and Jhao and for the rocket strike on the naval camp in Turbat, reiterating its intention to continue operations against what it described as enemy forces and economic targets in the region.
