BLF Claims Responsibility for Attacks on Turbat Airport Checkpoint and Hironk Military Camp

Kech: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for two separate attacks targeting Pakistani security forces in Turbat and the Hironk area of Kech, according to a statement issued by the group’s spokesperson, Major Gwahram Baloch.

In the statement, Major Gwahram Baloch said that on March 8, 2026, BLF fighters targeted a joint checkpoint of the Frontier Corps (FC) and the Airport Security Force (ASF) located at the main gate of Turbat Airport in Kech. He stated that the fighters fired several rounds from a grenade launcher, which allegedly struck the checkpoint.

According to the spokesperson, the attack resulted in casualties and material losses among the security personnel stationed at the checkpoint.

In a separate incident, Major Gwahram Baloch said that BLF fighters attacked a military camp of the Pakistani army in the Hironk area of Kech on March 7, 2026, using heavy and automatic weapons. He claimed that the attack also caused casualties and damage to the forces present at the camp.

The BLF spokesperson said the organization accepts responsibility for both attacks.
