SIBBI/NASEERABAD: Another incident of armed snap-checking has been reported, this time from Sibi, following a similar event earlier in Kech.

According to local sources, unidentified armed men set up a roadblock near Mithri in Sibi late last night, halting traffic and conducting checks. During the incident, they reportedly launched a heavy weapons attack on a nearby Pakistani forces checkpost. There has been no official confirmation regarding casualties or the extent of damage.

In a separate development, reports also emerged of an attack on a Pakistani forces checkpost near Sonwah, close to Chattar in Nasirabad. Details about casualties or material losses have not yet been released by authorities.

The back-to-back reports of highway blockades and attacks on security installations have heightened concerns about the law and order situation in parts of Balochistan.

Officials have yet to issue formal statements on the incidents.
