People from various walks of life visited the camp and expressed solidarity with the families of the missing persons.

The family of Nasreen Baloch also participated in the protest and recorded their concerns. According to the family, Nasreen was taken into custody last year by personnel of the FC, CTD and other state agencies from Zehri Goth, Daroo Hotel area of Hub Chowki, after which she went missing.

The family added that they approached the concerned police station for justice, but the police neither registered an FIR regarding Nasreen’s enforced disappearance nor provided any information about her whereabouts. They said the situation has caused them severe psychological distress.

VBMP chairman Nasrullah Baloch said that the enforced disappearance of Nasreen Baloch and other Baloch women, and the failure to bring them before a court, is a serious violation of fundamental human rights.
